Want to dress your dining table with the threads of nature?   Pillar candles are the perfect way to bring Native Australian Flora to your setting.  Each pillar is turned by hand from the Banksia Seed Pod.  Like all Banksia products each one is completely unique.  When arranged in groups they will create a serene ambiance at your next dinner party.

Beautifully hand turned Decorations, finely crafted from the iconic and uniquely Australian Banksia seed pod.

The collection of the Banskia Grandis is highly regulated by the Department of Parks and Wildlife Western Australia.

The seed pods collected and used in creating these beautiful pieces have expelled their seeds and completed the lifecycle of the plant. They are carefully handpicked to ensure no damage is done to the tree itself or the Australian bushland. The collectors go in to the bush on foot, careful not to disturb any surrounding plants or wildlife and no heavy machinery is used during this process.

A royalty is paid to the Western Australian Forestry per seed pod, which goes to aid in forest management and conservation. The pickers are designated certain areas to collect the pods, and these are constantly changing to ensure no one area is ever depleted. Only 10% of the Banksia Seed Pods can be collected in any one area at a time.

Very cool little shop tucked away upstairs. The art here is really authentic. I've purchased a hand carved boomerang with beautiful art. I don't think you can get much better crafted boomerangs by aboriginal artists anywhere else.

We noticed the display case while touring the Block Arcade and made a point to return for a visit to the shop. It was well worth it. Beautiful works of art and unique souvenirs of our trip to Australia. The proprietor was most friendly and helpful tucking in some information on the artist whose work I had purchased. I highly recommend seeking out this shop. You won't be disappointed!

Spent some time to find this shop, remember to take the Lift 1(No.1) in Block Arcade and press 3rd floor, follow the sign then you will find it. The owner is very friendly and passionate of explaning different kinds of workpiece and the decoration of the shop, he is also very patient on explaining different wood types among all those pens as well. By the time I visited, there were not much various types of paintings, but there were many different handiwork such as coasters, earrings, sketches, pens, wood carving etc. I bought a handmade roller ball pen made with red mallee burl wood. And the prices of those Australian handiwork are cheaper than other shops as it is located upstairs. Good customer service as well, highly recommend to visit this shop!

You really have to find this store. Search for it when you're in the Block Arcade. it is situated on the third floor. Take the elevator and enter a world of Australian made exquisite paintings, jewels and art. All at (in my opinion) affordable prices.

Just happened to see the display/ sign while at The Block Arcade. We went to the 3rd floor and found this wonderful shop carrying only Australian-made items. The proprietor was so very nice and helpful and provided great advice and information on the various items she carried in her store.
