Australian By Design Returns Policy

At Australian By Design, we are committed to ensuring you are satisfied with your purchase. If you are not completely satisfied with your order, our Returns Policy outlines your rights and the process for returns, exchanges, and refunds in compliance with Queensland (QLD) laws and the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

1. Change of Mind Returns

We understand that sometimes you may change your mind about a purchase. If you wish to return an item for a refund or exchange, please ensure the following conditions are met:

• The item is returned within 7 days of the purchase date.
• The item is unused, in its original packaging, and in the same condition as when you received it.
• A valid proof of purchase is provided.

Please note that we do not offer refunds for change of mind returns on sale items.

2. Faulty or Damaged Items

Under Australian Consumer Law (ACL), you are entitled to a replacement, repair, or refund for a major failure with the product. If your item is faulty, damaged, or significantly different from what was described, please contact us within a reasonable time frame to arrange for a return and assessment of the item. To process your claim:

• Contact our Customer Service team at karly@australianbydesign.com.au with your order details and a description of the issue.
• Provide proof of purchase and, if possible, photographic evidence of the fault or damage.

If the item is deemed to have a major fault, you can choose a refund, replacement, or repair. For minor faults, we will offer a repair or replacement.

3. Incorrect Items

If you receive an incorrect item, please notify us as soon as possible. We will arrange for the correct item to be sent to you and provide instructions for returning the incorrect item at no cost to you.

4. How to Return an Item

To return an item, please follow these steps:

• Contact our Customer Service team at karly@australianbydesign.com.au to initiate the return process and receive a Return Authorisation Number (RAN).
• Package the item securely, including all original packaging, accessories, and documentation.
• Clearly mark the package with the RAN and send it to the address provided by our Customer Service team.

5. Return Shipping Costs

For change of mind returns, you are responsible for the return shipping costs. For faulty, damaged, or incorrect items, we will cover the return shipping costs.

6. Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you of the outcome. If approved, refunds will be processed using the original payment method within 10 business days.
