The leaves used in these uniquely beautiful hand crafted products come from a widely known Australian Gumtree, the Tasmanian Blue Gum (Eucalyptus Globulus). The juvenile leaves are large in shape and mainly bluish white in colour with a waxy bloom. Intermediate leaves may be very long, often up to 30cm and hang vertically on the tree. They are characteristically thick dark green and glossy in colour, highlighted with a distinctive red vein. Buying this product provides employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
